Second Section of Delhi Metro's Pink Line To Be Flagged Off From August 6th

Delhi Metro’s much-awaited Pink Line’s second stretch is to be launched soon for the public with effect from August 6th. This 8.1 kilometres will cover a stretch from Sir Vishveshwaraiah Moti Bagh Station to Lajpat Nagar Metro Station.

The Longest Metro Line Till Date

The Pink Line is the seventh metro line of DMRC, connecting Mukundpur to Shiv Vihar. It will be the longest line amongst the other metro lines. With the commencement of the first phase of Metro in March this year, the whole line is expected to be launched and operational by the month of September. The Pink Line has really saved DMRC’s many commuters a lot of time as it crosses other existing lines of the Delhi Metro – red, blue, green, violet, yellow lines as well as the Airport Express line.

Hence, the second segment of the Pink Line, with its passenger services commencing from August 6th around 1 P.M., shall connect the popular shopping areas and avenues of Delhi NCR including Sarojini Nagar, South Extension, INA Market, as well as Lajpat Nagar.
