Okaaaayy! So its very rare to see a majority of people eating mutton dishes. It’s said that if the first experience of Mutton is not good, then its ruined for you for life. But people, you’ve got to try this place. This shop in Sadar Bazaar where its customers claim that it serves the best mutton dishes in town!!
It is said that the food makes up for the size of the shop. And the story behind Ashoka & Ashoka it makes it larger than life. The shop was started back in 1984 by 2 friends namely Ashok (Of course). They were known as the ‘Macho Gangsters’ of the area. Apart from their flourishing business, they also love cooking meat for the local people. Their passion turned into their profession and became proud onwers of ‘Ashok and Ashok Dhaba’.
Though they’ve passed away, the shop is run by generations ahead. The most famous dishes are Mutton korma, Chicken korma and biryani. Since the shop opens for just 3 hours, you’ll always see the shop loaded with people waiting to hog on Mutton delights.
We’ve been their ‘n’ number of times and we still can’t get enough of it! :p
