According to certain researchers, air pollution along with certain other factors actually helps in keep the city cooler! The factors, in their entirety, help in lowering the temperature by at least 2 to 4 degrees.
In fact, it was revealed the surface temperature during the day remains lower when there is a rise in aerosol load over Delhi. However, there several other factors also that could affect the day’s temperature.
Moreover, the study was conducted by 10 researchers using MODIS Sattelite [no connection to our PM]. Which is a key instrument in NASA’s Terra & Aqua Satellites.
So, without doubt, the news must be true, regardless of you how hot you feel during the day!
