After the amazing success of the Magenta Line, Delhi Metro has got another surprise for us, with more routes, making our lives easier day by day! Recently, the first trial run on the Noida-Greater Noida corridor of the upcoming Aqua Line was completed and we can’t wait for the launch now!
The Aqua line will be covering a distance of 29.7 km, and will have 21 stations. Going from Noida’s Sector 71 to Depot, connecting Dadri Road, Knowledge Park and Pari Chowk on the way, these trains will run at a maximum speed of 80 kmph, and will be operating at an average speed of 37.5 kmph which is better than usual metro speeds.
All the stations on the Aqua line will be having platform screen doors just like the magenta lines though these trains will not run driverless.
Each coach on the Aqua Line Metro will be equipped with four 37-inch Dynamic Route Maps, which will provide all the necessary information regarding routes, current and next stations, and interchange stations. And not to forget, each coach will have ports for mobile and USB charging too!
Sounds perfect to us!
