Roaming around Saket, we found the best surprise that 2018 could ever share with us! Saket recently got its first Kashmiri Cafe and its open-air garden shack is a beautiful affair that we just couldn’t resist taking in. And the best part? With tons of hookah flavours, authentic Kashmiri food & amazing seatings – it’s an irresistible concept that you must check out!
Strangely, the cafe doesn’t look too appealing from outside. But once you walk down the small alley on its side that leads to its garden shack – brightly lit up thanks to fairy lights & hanging half broken glass bottles with lights inside – you will instantly fall in love with it.
The backyard of the cafe has a small counter right next to the podium. Where bands play, people put on their dancing shoes and groove the night away. In fact, if you notice carefully, the place also offers a small bed like seating arrangement where you can grab a ‘chaddar’, smoke flavourful hookah and chill with friends.
Now, while the place offers authentic Kashmiri delicacies like Kahwa, Cafe Hameen Ast’o also offers some modern twists to western snacks. And, trust us, when we tell you that their french fries are completely out of this world! Cheesy, crunchy and beautifully textural – its nothing like you might have eaten earlier!
Besides, one of the things that we fell in love with was the cute Saint Bernard named, Humpty! Visiting every day with its owner, Humpty is a playful little kid any dog lover would love to play with.
Well, coming back to their menu. The hookah menu offers 12 delicious flavours like Pan Rasna, Brain Freezer, Gold and Grape among others. And their Kashmiri menu offers meals like – Kebabs, Harissa, Kashmiri Saag, Tabakh Maaz, Palak Kofta and Rogan Josh among others.
