In an attempt to fight the air pollution in Gurgaon, SmartE has collaborated with Delhi Metro to launch 1,000 e-rickshaws! We recently found an entire line of cute little green rickshaws standing outside Huda City Centre Metro Station and we’re already feeling proud of this move!
30 Second Window:
- Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently launched 300 e-rickshaws in Gurgaon. He assured that another 1000 will be added in the coming few months!
- In fact, he also suggested that Gurgaon might soon get an electric fleet of buses and taxis! Also, that they will all be on road by the end of 2017.
- So, how costly are the travel routes? Well, for starters, the e-rickshaw will cost a person INR 10 for the first 2 km. And henceforth, INR 5 per km!
- Oh, before we forget, the e-rickshaws will available at Huda City Centre, IFFCO Chowk, MG Road, Sikanderpur and Guru Dronacharya!
DforDelhi Recommends:
- That you take a step toward a healthier and fresher Gurgaon with these e-rickshaws! And soon to be added buses and taxis!
