Now You Will Have To Travel 140 Km From Delhi To Legally Buy Firecrackers!

A few days back Supreme Court banned the sale of firecrackers in the Delhi-NCR region. But if you’re one of those who would still wish to burst a few firecrackers, this news is for you! Because bursting firecrackers just got more expensive. As expensive as travelling 140 km from Delhi just to buy even one packet of rockets!

According to certain reports, people in Delhi will have to go the peripheries of the city just to buy the firecrackers! In fact, according to Hindustan Times buying firecrackers from these places would require at least 6-8 hours of driving up and down.

Residents of Delhi-NCR will have to drive down to Aligarh (140km), beyond Alwar (158km), Mathura (162km), Ambala (202km), Hissar (172km), Bijnor (163km) or Moradabad (180km) to be able to buy crackers from the nearest market selling them legally.

So, what we’re asking you is – will you be travelling that far just to celebrate Diwali the way Delhi has been all these years?
