So, here’s something great for all the commuters in the city! Metro Cards can be used in DTC buses from the 24th of August and it’s such a *phew* moment!

The date for the soft launch of the ‘common mobility card’ has been finalised after a 5-month wait.

In fact, the use of the card will be as simple as furnishing the metro card to the conductor. After which, the fare of the ride will be deducted automatically after swiping.

The logic behind the common mobility card:

So, according to studies, the metro network and the DTC buses are two of the most common modes of transport in Delhi. However, since the ridership of buses is still higher than the metro, it was imperative to create a common card.
