About The Place
  • The place got its name from a local Iranian Sufi mystic, Abdulla nicknamed Majnu – a devotee of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Majnu ferried people across the Yamuna river for free as a service to God.
  • You will find Tibetan ladies dressed in Traditional attire and lots of students strolling and shopping around. The place has restaurants, small cafes, hotels, guest houses, etc.
  • The colonies in Majnu ka Tila are laced with small kiosks selling Tibetan curios, travel agencies offering Himalayan tours, Tibetan movie CDs, typical bags, colorful T-shirts, shoe shops, salons and also people selling food items.
